Spawning Sustainable Tourism Initiatives via Regional Collaboration

In 2018, MSU Extension tourism educators partnered with Travel MI to deliver multiple sustainable tourism trainings across Michigan’s 10 Prosperity Regions. These trainings were designed to foster regional collaboration while supporting specific objectives outlined in the Michigan Tourism Strategic Plan. This session will provide an overview of MSUE’s educational tourism program, the MI Tourism Strategic Plan, the results of the statewide initiative, and lessons learned.
