VIRTUALLY THERE: World’s most instagrammed places

If it’s not on Instagram does it exist? Well, that’s not a worry for a host of hotels and other tourism entities that have emerged as the “most instagrammed” in the world, according to the 2020 Instagram Travel Guide.

Compiled by British online photo printing company Inkifi, which spent its spare time during the pandemic counting hashtags, the guide features a list of 50 favourites in a range of categories, from hotels to beaches, and restaurants to skylines.

Some of the entries are no surprise, while others utterly baffle, and Canada pops up now and again. But see for yourself. We highlight Hotels, but include the top 10s in all categories:
