New General Manager Appointment at The Sukhothai Bangkok

Mr. Deutl brings with him over 25 years of leadership experience in the global hospitality industry. An Austrian national, he has held senior management roles with several leading international brands, including Hyatt International, Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel, The Westin Grand Berlin, The Westin Bund Center Shanghai, The Westin Nanjing, Sheraton Tianjin Hotel, The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort, and The St. Regis Chengdu.
Throughout his career across Europe and Asia, Mr. Deutl has been widely recognised for his commitment to operational excellence, team development, and guest satisfaction. His leadership style combines strategic foresight with hands-on execution, allowing him to successfully manage complex hotel operations, lead major renovations and openings, and consistently deliver strong financial results.
In addition to his extensive operational background, Mr. Deutl is highly experienced in revenue optimisation, business analysis, distribution strategy, and market positioning. Fluent in English, German, and Mandarin, he is known for his cross-cultural leadership and ability to foster collaborative, high-performing teams.
As he takes the helm at The Sukhothai Bangkok, Mr. Deutl brings with him a global perspective and a deep passion for refined hospitality. He is committed to preserving the timeless charm of The Sukhothai Bangkok while driving future growth and enhancing the guest experience.
