Siam Discovery Unveils Ecotopia, Together we Create a Better World

Siam Discovery, The Exploratorium has recently introduced “Ecotopia,” a community of like-minded people who believe ‘Together, We Co-Create a Better World,’ creatively co-created by true eco-conscious individuals in collaboration with 12 Eco Co-Creators and the new generations to present new eco-centric experience that is more approachable and practical. Over 300 carefully sourced eco-friendly brands and over 100,000 eco-conscious items are available. This is an ultimate retail experience for the New Normal lifestyle. Officiated the opening of Ecotopia were Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment’s Permanent Secretary Jatuporn Buruspat. Many new generations and eco-conscious celebrities also join the event.
Siam Discovery has been a trend-setter in serving the changing lifestyle, introducing innovative living trends in accordance with world’s latest trend. The opening of Ecotopia is its latest movement to introduce a creative community of like-minded individuals who believe ‘Together, We Co-Create a Better World.’
This eco community encourages people to create positive impact through the change of lifestyle with new and more approachable eco-centric experience, to together sustainable living forward.
Ecotopia is led by Siam Piwat’s Consultant Amorn Mongkhonkaewsakun and Siam Piwat Retail Holding’s Deputy Director of Commerce Pawina Gajaseni together with 12 Eco-Co-Creators. Ecotopia has been designed to house 8 highlight zones. Zone 1: Hygienic Zone offers visitors daily household goods and cleaning products produced from natural sources and biodegradable materials. Zone 2: Zero Waste Zone is where visitors can bring in their personal containers to refill their desired products in order to reduce waste Zone 3: Green Zone assembles some of Bangkok’s biggest air purifying plants and gardening supplies. Zone 4: Healthy Zone welcomes health-conscious eaters with carefully selected organic products. Zone 5: Beautiful Zone holds chemical-free organic skincare and personal care products that
are created from raw natural materials. Zone 6: Up-Cycled Zone brings together a vast collection of redesigned recycled products such as UPCYCLING By GC which features creatively designed handbag Sai Sai, created in collaboration Marshall, which is inspired by the banana leaf wrap of traditional Thai dessert or camouflage Polo shirts made from 100% recycled polyester fabric, each shirt is made from about 8 drinking water bottles. Available also in this zone are Para rubber bags, bags made from discarded cement bags and products made from recycled bottle cap by PRECIOUS PLASTIC. Zone 7: Stylish Zone showcases fashion products derived from organic cotton or textile waste plus a ‘clothes swap’ corner where visitors are welcome to swap their old clothes with brand-new designed clothes. Zone 8: Kind Zone features locally crafted products from natural materials where profits return to these local communities. All eight zones are designed to welcome everyone to help build a better world.
In addition, Ecotopia introduces an eco-innovative experience conveyed through great digital story-telling through iPad. History and Journey of products can be discovered via QR code. Cashierless system also offers shoppers payment convenience. Eco products are also available via OneSiam official Line Account.
All products in Ecotopia have been carefully sourced, with over 300 brands and 100,000 items to choose from. These products are based on health-oriented, chemical-free, have been manufactured and crafted eco-consciously, ethically and environmental-friendly. Some of the examples are products produced from reused and recycled materials, including rubber bags, discarded cement bags, mat made by recycled materials, and nature-derived dishwashing liquid. Also available are non-toxic lunch box from DIY by Deim, Tiny Tree & Pot & Plant offers a wide range of air-purifying house plants, distinctly designed pots, quality potting soil and additional gardening supplies. Also available are Bio Trash that can conveniently convert food waste into compost. Expect eco-friendly chairs and plant pots from BIO PLASTIC courtesy, products made from waste plastic bottle cap by Precious Plastic, Natural haircare and skin cleansing products are available from Pasutara; organic goods from Patom; vegan jackets by Vegan Fabric naturally dyed hand-woven cotton fabric from Bhukram, and much more to be discovered at Ecotopia.
Ecotopia is a platform implementing this strategy through a unity of 12 Eco Co-Creators, the creative minds living an exemplary green lives and making positive environmental impacts including eco-architect Noppanit Isarankura Na Ayudhaya; Kamonnart Ongwandee, an intermediary for Fashion Revolution Thailand; Prem Pruktayanon, a zero-waste business leader and eco-content creator; Tanawat Maneenawa, TAM:DA brand owner and the savior of wasted products, transforming them into valuable goods; Poramin Watnakornbancha, a co-founder of Pasutara, and the truly natural product brand Ali; Dr. Chompunuch Warakulwit, a ‘Green Chemist’ page creator and a experimenter of natural products; Charee Boonyavinij, the founder of Uncle Ree’s Farm; Anak Navaraj, the founder of Patom Organic Living; Puwasawat Chakrabongse, the director of Precious Plastic Bangkok; Somsak Boonkam, the leader of tourism-based Local Alike; Thanarak Voralittanon, the owner of SACKITEM Upcycle Bag, joined by Romtham Khumnurak, Wilawan Panyang, Peerapol Hemsirirath, Napatara Thummachua, Sutinan Sutatham, and Setthawut Pantnara — the team behind Environman page.

Importantly, Ecotopia is a co-creation of government and private sectors, a joint force to make the world a better place, such as The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, PTT Global Chemical PCL, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Kasetsart University, Research and Innovation for Sustainability Center and more, making Ecotopia the largest eco community.
